When I cracked open the ol’ internet machine, I did NOT expect to have my jaw drop to the floor like some sort of cartoon. It did. It happened. I am happy.

You see, the action of my jaw dropping, like Garfield after seeing a swimming pool filled with lasagna, is something that hasn’t happened since the birth of my daughter. But when I saw that Sony Pictures was building an immersive, state-of-the-art, 45,000 sqft attraction with Sony-verse attractions and an out-of-this-world dining experience, I couldn’t help myself – especially since it’s opening in my neck of the woods – the Chicagoland area!

I present to you: WONDERVERSE – the future of family entertainment! Yeah, that name might be the coolest freaking name since Zombieland hit the screens.

I stopped what I was doing and instantly went to the website to discover what treats and treasures Sony had in store – my jaw remained on the floor.

Here’s why:

This attraction, located in Oakbrook, IL, will feature escape rooms, interactive exhibits, Virtual Reality, Racing Simulators, Bumper Cars, and Secret Pop-Up Bar experiences!

But that isn’t it, folks! Wonderverse is going to feature themes from Zombieland, Ghostbusters, 21 Jump Street, Uncharted, Bad Boys, and Jumanji! And that is just for starters!

The potential for Wonderverse is already mouth-wateringly delicious! This experience, this gift of entertainment, will be a great addition to the Chicago suburban area. On top of that – it’s only a stone’s throw away from the Chicago Pop Culture Cons and Comic Cons – so the marketing juice that this bad boy is going to bring in will be extraordinary.
