I was first introduced to Jack Carr in 2020. It was on social media, Instagram to be precise. I started having a brief communication with him after I read his book The Terminal List. My family are big readers, especially my 94 year old Grams. I let her read my copy of the Terminal List. She was hooked. I shared this information with Mr. Carr and he graciously sent my grandmother a personal signed copy to her house. That is who Jack Carr. He’s also a former Navy SEAL sniper, Counterinsurgency commander, and an action figure – He’s pretty much a real life GI JOE.

Like a spark to gasoline, Jack Carr has not only ignited the literary world but also the entertainment world as well with his Amazon Prime show based on his book. The Terminal List show features Chris Pratt as the main protagonist, James Reese. The show is absolutely intense and authentic and intense as Carr’s writing.
As a creative myself, I find it really fascinating how Jack Carr has branded himself out of the gate. Here is an individual that had a game plan and a vision for his future. If you listen to any of his interviews you will be able to see his incredible discipline at work. I recommend his interview with Jocko and Joe Rogan. The Carr brand is literally everything you read in the books. Which is genius and very much on par of the James Bond brand. The only difference is Jack Carr is the real deal. He’s truly one of a kind.
One of the reasons why I separate Carr from the rest of the talent is because he is a pop culture nerd just like all of us. His pop culture are shows like Magnum PI, movies like Invasion USA, authors like Ian Fleming and Hemingway. Here’s a couple of posts on his Instagram ( highly recommend following it ) about Magnum PI:
Jack Carr’s brand is a testament to the power of authenticity, storytelling, and genuine connection to his fans. It honestly should be a blueprint for any creative out there.
As a Navy SEAL turned author, he has captivated audiences with his gripping tales of revenge, courage and sacrifice, while also offering valuable insights into the world we live. His podcast, Danger Close, fully displays not only his gun n’ gear passion but also his deep historian mindset where he interviews a smorgasbord of fascinating individuals ranging from CIA anaylsits, special operators, veterans, authors and actors.
Whether navigating the treacherous waters of espionage or geeking out on the military themed entertainment, Carr continues to inspire and entertain readers, solidifying his status as a literary force much like his predecessors Tom Clancy or Vince Flynn.
Why did I write this?
What makes Carr’s world so fascinating is the blend between reality and fiction. It almost seems that Jack Carr writes with a prophetic vision. A lot of what he has written has become a hot topic in the world of current affairs. This is one of the reasons that I find his books not only thrilling but borderline scary.
All in all, Jack Carr is a writer that has crossed over from fact to fiction. He is truly a man of the people because he has a fairly glassdoor relationship with his fans. Essentially, I would love to interview him. I’d ask questions focused on pop culture because he has such a unique and personal connection that has bled into his life to this day. As a regular guy I’d love to discuss regular things with a real life GI Joe, wouldn’t you!?
Have you read Jack Carr’s Terminal List series? I’d love to hear what you have to say!
Until next time dear friends!
