It’s that time of year again—Bondvember! The month where we celebrate all things 007 with our annual collection of thoughts, musings, and, of course, a healthy dose of nostalgia for Bond’s best and baddest rides. If interested, check out last years musings here:

When the average person thinks of James Bond, they undoubtedly picture the man himself—sharp tuxedo we can’t afford, martini in hand—and, of course, those jaw-dropping cars.  From BMW to the iconic ’64 Aston Martin DB5, Bond’s sweet wheels are just as legendary as the man behind the wheel.

In No Time to Die, we saw the DB5 take center stage once again. I’d argue it had more screen time in NTTD than in any of its previous outings, and honestly, that’s a W in my book. Not seeing the DB5 in Daniel Craig’s swan song would have been a crime against humanity. It served as the perfect bookend to Craig’s era—nostalgic, symbolic, and undeniably cool. But even as much as I love the DB5, I have to admit, I was craving more variety. The Land Rover did not do it for me.

With a new Bond era looming on the horizon, we’re set to be introduced to a fresh batch of Bond cars. The catch? We don’t know when, where or even who. As Tom Petty once sang, “The waiting is the hardest part.”

But while we’re waiting for the next chapter, let’s have some fun and speculate on what cars Bond could drive in the future—while giving a nod to his iconic past rides.

So, what classic car should Bond be driving in the next era, and more importantly—what  new car should he get his hands on?
I mean, these are life-or-death questions, people. I’m not here to mess around. Let’s dive in.

First, let’s talk numbers: Bond has driven over 100 cars. That’s insane. Sure, not all of them are as iconic or as memorable as others, but there’s one brand that stands out above the rest. When we think of Bond’s rides, one name is synonymous with the man himself: Aston Martin. If the next Bond movie doesn’t feature an Aston, well, we might as well cancel the whole thing. It’s a must-have, no questions asked!
Then there’s BMW. The brand that dominated the Brosnan era—aka ‘90s Bond. While I can’t appreciate the engineering I can appreciate the thought but I have to say: I’m kind of over BMW since 2002. In the world of luxury cars, BMW is like the New Balance of the automotive world— all brand and no substance. Don’t even get me started on New Balance. Seriously, they used to be the go-to “dad shoes,” but somehow, through clever marketing, they’re now labeled “sneakers” and priced like they’re a pair of golden hush puppies? Get outta dodge!

But I digress. There are also cars like the ’61 Sunbeam Alpine, the Lotus Esprit, and the Ford Mustang Mach 1—each a standout in its own right – Unique, memorable, and with a sense of personality. And that’s exactly the kind of ride we need for the next Bond. I spent some time thinking about what car would make sense in today’s world, and I’ve come to a conclusion. Q Branch is going to need to set Bond up with something revolutionary—something that makes a statement in this age of hyper-tech, hyper-speed, and  pretty much hyper-everything.
And here’s where I’ve cracked the code.

Ladies and gentlemen, why not give Bond the most iconic car of the modern age? The car that screams futuristic, cutting-edge, and yes—cool as all living daylights ( I tried).

Why wouldn’t Bond drive a Tesla?

Think about it. Elon Musk has built the coolest, most forward-thinking car of our time. The Tesla Model H, anyone? Seriously, this thing is practically made for Bond. It’s sleek, it’s powerful, it’s loaded with enough tech to make Q jealous. Imagine Bond behind the wheel, cruising through the streets of London or tearing through the Alps in a car that looks like it’s straight out of a sci-fi movie. I mean, talk about perfect kill.

I may never be able to afford one, but if I could, I’d trade my hunk of junk in a heartbeat. The potential for Tesla to design a custom car for Bond is off the charts—imagine all the gadgets, the upgrades, the cutting-edge features that would make Bond’s missions even more jaw-dropping. We’re talking tech that’s so futuristic, even M would be impressed – which would be astounding since he seems to have a personality of a leather wallet.  It’s the bold, progressive direction that New Bond deserves. Bring it on!

So, what about you? What car do you need to see Bond driving next? What’s your personal favorite in the Bond car collection? Do you have a car or do you prefer public transportation?

Elon can you gift me a Tesla so my daughter can respect me?
