We’re drawing 106 days closer to the kickoff of Fan Expo Chicago, the ultimate comic con event in Windy City!

With just a few months remaining, I’d like to offer some valuable tips to help you plan and enjoy your adventure at the Con. If you are interested, I started this series last year. Article found here.

As a native species from the Chicagoland area, I’m here to share some seasoned advice. Firstly, securing your tickets in advance is paramount. It’ll alleviate any last-minute stress, like being punched in the face by Harry Ford. 

Secondly, if you’re planning to stay at a hotel, it’s wise to make your reservation early. The convention is surrounded by numerous hotels, which is absolutely convenient for maximizing your convention experience. Yet, if you’re on a budget, consider neighboring hotels in Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Norridge or Schiller Park. Also, utilizing rideshares like Uber or Lyft, as it could be a more economical option if you hotel outside the Con. A $100 difference in hotel prices could make a significant impact, as it would for me. Being financially savvy at a con allows you to allocate more funds to enjoy the event itself. Budget it out, folks. 

Additionally, I highly recommend mapping out your itinerary. What autographs are you seeking? Which panels or events are on your must-attend list? What kind of experience are you aiming for? Answering these key questions will ensure a seamless and thrilling Fan Expo 2024 experience.
